The Design Timeline & Process

Japanese Style Garden Buckhead

Consultation

The process begins with either a tele -consult or on-site consult. Tele-consults typically also need an on site consult follow up at a later date. The consult takes place with a Royal Horticultural Society trained and certified horticulturist and garden designer. Will cover all site issues and solutions, safety hazards, pest and invasive control, client/site needs, design styles and site suitability.

2

Design Contract

We have all of our clients fill out a design contract so that both parties know what is expected of the project brief and what the terms are. This document specifies exactly what is being requested by you the client and how we will meet that request, and by when.

3

Site Survey & Environmental Assessment

Whether or not the client has a land survey of the site, we need much more detail on the plans, taking into account the structures and large trees and shrubs that client's wish to keep in place. After calling 811 and having services marked, we conduct a linear survey, and also conduct site wide aspect testing and soil testing before considering which plants are appropriate for the environment

4

Design Review

The design review takes place via zoom so that all parties can attend from anywhere in the world and so that all of the relevant plans, photographs, and drawings can be seen and explained.

5

Final Designs

Some plans need some revision after the review, then your final design is put together and shared with you. Now it's time to make dreams come true and get installing!
