Our only native Sedum, Sedum ternatum, also known as wild stonecrop, is a versatile and low-maintenance plant that is perfect for adding a touch of greenery to any garden.

 

SOIL REQUIREMENTS:

This plant thrives in well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to slightly alkaline pH level, making it suitable for a variety of soil types. It is also drought-tolerant and can tolerate poor soil conditions, making it a resilient choice for any garden setting.

 

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS:

When it comes to light, Sedum ternatum prefers partial to full shade, making it an ideal plant for those hard-to-fill shady spots in the garden.

 

SIZE:

It typically reaches a size of about 6-12 inches tall and 12-18 inches wide, making it a great option for ground cover or as a border plant.

 

BLOOM TIME/COLOR:

In the spring, Sedum ternatum produces delicate white star-shaped flowers that add a lovely pop of color to the garden.

LARVAL HOST:
