Asclepias incarnata 'Cinderella' or Swamp Milkweed is a beautiful and beneficial addition to any garden.

 

SOIL REQUIREMENTS:

This perennial thrives in moist to wet soil, making it an excellent choice for rain gardens or areas with poor drainage.

 

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS:

It prefers full sun to partial shade and can tolerate dappled shade with enough moisture.

 

SIZE:

Grows to be around 2 to 4 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide, creating a striking presence in any garden bed. This nativar is a dwarf version of the straight species which gets up to 5 to 6 feet tall.

 

BLOOM TIME/COLOR:

It blooms from midsummer to early fall, showcasing clusters of pink and white flowers that attract pollinators such as butterflies and bees.

This variety pairs beautifully with other moisture-loving plants, such as Joe-Pye weed, cardinal flower, and Echinacea, adding a pop of color to any wildflower garden.
