The Delphinium exaltatum, also known as Tall Larkspur, is a stunning perennial that will add height and color to any garden.

It requires full sun to partial shade for optimal growth and blooming.


SIZE: This plant can reach heights of 3-6 feet and has a spread of about 2-3 feet, making it a great choice for adding vertical interest to your garden.


BLOOM TIME: The Tall Larkspur blooms in midsummer to early fall, boasting beautiful spikes of blue, purple, or white flowers.


COMPANION PLANTS: It can be paired with other late season tall perennials like Helianthus angustifolius, Solidago spp, Vernonia (Ironweed) spp, and Eutrochium/Eupatorium (Joe Pye) spp and grasses like Panicum, Sorghastrum, Andropon, and Muhlenbergia.


The endangered Karner Blue Butterfly, making it an excellent choice for supporting local wildlife. Also a hummingbird favorite due to the tubular flowers.
