The Gentiana Saponaria, also known as Soapwort Gentian, is a stunning addition to any late summer garden. Because of it's low stature, it works wonders in container gardens too.

SOIL REQUIREMENTS:

This plant thrives in well-draining, acidic soil, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens or alpine gardens.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS:

It prefers to be planted in full sun or partial shade and can tolerate cooler temperatures.

SIZE:

At maturity, the Soapwort Gentian can reach a height of around 8 inches, with a spread of 8-12 inches

BLOOM TIME/COLOR:

It blooms in late summer to early fall, boasting vibrant blue flowers that add a pop of color to any garden.

COMPANION PLANTS:

It pairs well and blooms at the same time as Solidago (Goldenrod), Vernonia (Ironweed) and Asters. Because of its low height it's best to use dwarf cultivars of those pairings for creating a cohesive and visually appealing garden design
