Xanthoriza simplicissima, also known as yellow root, is a striking native plant that thrives in the average garden soil; it prefers moist, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. It can tolerate some dryness once established, but it will not do well in constantly wet soil.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS:
This attractive plant is perfect for shady or partially shaded areas, although it can tolerate some sun if given enough water.
